Formula 1’s commercial arm has issued a firm assurance that the season‑ending Qatar Grand Prix and the traditional Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will both take place as scheduled. The statement, reported by TimesLIVE, was aimed at quelling lingering doubts among teams and fans after a series of geopolitical and logistical hiccups that threatened the 2024 calendar.

According to the announcement, the FIA and the sport’s governing bodies have secured all necessary permits, visas and circuit preparations for both events. The Qatar race, slated for early November, will be held at the Lusail International Circuit, while the Abu Dhabi finale at the Yas Marina Circuit remains set for the final weekend of the season. Both venues have already completed the mandatory safety inspections and are on track to meet the FIA’s stringent standards.

Team principals welcomed the clarity. "Having the calendar locked down allows us to focus on car development and logistics rather than contingency planning," said a spokesperson for one of the leading teams, speaking on condition of anonymity. The reassurance also helps sponsors and broadcasters plan their commitments, especially in key markets like India where the races attract a growing viewership.

What This Means for Indian Fans

Indian audiences can continue to tune in via FanCode, which holds the exclusive streaming rights for the 2024 season. The Qatar Grand Prix will be broadcast live at 02:30 IST on Saturday, while the Abu Dhabi finale will kick off at 03:00 IST on Sunday. Both races will also be available on the official F1 TV app for Indian subscribers, offering live timing, on‑board cameras and team radio feeds.

With the calendar now firmly set, teams will shift their focus to the final development race in Qatar before heading to the high‑stakes showdown in Abu Dhabi. The last two rounds are expected to be decisive for the drivers’ and constructors’ championships, making the confirmed schedule all the more crucial for fans tracking the title fight.
